Derek is the chief executive officer at IMC. Prior to joining the company in 2007, Derek was the chief financial officer and chief compliance officer of Torrey Pines Capital Management, a global long/short equity hedge fund. He was also responsible for overseeing the firm’s operations team. Before joining Torrey Pines in 2004, Derek was a tax manager with PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP. Derek has 20 years of experience in the investment management industry and over eight years of public accounting experience in both the audit and tax departments. He is a Certified Public Accountant and holds an MS in Taxation from Golden Gate University, San Francisco and a BS in Accounting from the University of Southern California.
